Amelia Serio is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor at Vita Nova Wellness. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ohio University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University. Amelia has experience working in a variety of clinical settings and is passionate about helping both adults and teens heal from trauma and life challenges.

Her clinical background includes providing outpatient counseling and assessments at a non-profit organization, working on a trauma response team, and delivering suicide prevention training to fellow professionals. She has also worked with youth and families through Multisystemic Therapy.

Amelia provides both general counseling and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR is a specialized treatment that helps clients reprocess traumatic memories using guided prompts and gaze tracking. Before reprocessing begins, clients are supported with coping skills and grounding techniques to ensure emotional stability and safety.

Amelia’s sessions are strengths-based and collaborative, designed to help clients identify and achieve realistic goals. She is currently accepting virtual counseling and EMDR clients and offers drug and alcohol assessments for both teens and adults. Amelia is excited to be part of the team at Vita Nova Wellness and is committed to supporting clients in their journey toward healing and growth.
